Bac Lieu is a coastal province in the Mekong River delta, located on the Ca Mau Peninsula, the southernmost region land of Vietnam. Bac Lieu has many different peoples living as Vietnamese, Chinese, Khmer, Cham ... Bac Lieu people have liberal life style typical of the South. Bac Lieu is known by vocational salt, Bac Lieu salt this ancient capital famous for quality by not bitter, astringent and less impurities, present vocational salt no longer as popular as before but Bac Lieu still is areas producing largest salt of Southwest. Also Lieu lands also associated with the name of the musician Cao Van Lau with "Da co hoai lang" song, who first laid the foundation for the development of “Mekong Delta traditional musicâ€.
